May 2020 - Biking is back!
“March is the time that we start to get our biking back”
Welcome to the start of the new biking year. The moment the calendar flicks over from February to March is always an exciting time as a rider because, with a bit of luck, this is the month that we get our biking back. I’ve ridden through most winters in the last 20 years and while there are moments of pleasure, most of it is about just getting through, while planning and wishing for the weather to perk up. Now that time has come.
To make the most of it, we’ve assembled a new-season guide packed with enough events, hints and inspiration to make 2020 a great riding year. There are places to go to, roads to ride and refresher tips but, most of all, I recommend you spend a bit of time in the garage, adjusting and fettling.
Chances are there are a few little niggles that you carried through until the end of last year and the deterioration of a bike can be so gradual, most of us don’t even notice. The start of the new year is a great time to make amends. I know from experience your bike will thank you for it.
